A Long Eaton pensioner has been
discharged from hospital after spending 46 days in intensive care with
coronavirus. Yvonne Thompson, 70, was taken to hospital on April 5th after
self-isolating with Covid-19 symptoms. Her condition deteriorated and she was
transferred to the Intensive Care Unit. When
her respiratory function got worse she was placed on a ventilator. Once her
condition improved she was moved to a ward to continue her recovery. Yvonne
spent a total of 56 days in hospital.
