On Monday 7th August instead of enjoying their usual meeting, members of
The Rotary Club of Church Wilne and friends came to the assistance of Rev. Gary
Dundas, who had asked the club to kindly help with an environmental project.
Using their arboreal skills they shaped six lime trees at the front of St.
Chads. In addition to this extensive pruning, the front wall was cleared of ivy
and other creeping foliage. After the tasks were completed the club enjoyed a
BBQ within the Church grounds. President Nigel Roberts and Rtn. Martin Dowey
worked tirelessly to provide sustenance for the hungry work party.
Speaking at the end of the event, Rev. Dundas thanked the Rotary Club of Church Wilne for all their hard work and observed, “ It’s amazing how much can be achieved when friends come together and work hard for a couple of hours.”Further details about Church Wilne Rotary may be found on our website
