I apologise for not saying how the catches were made but I was not present so do not have that information. My thanks to Phil Hunt for running the event in my absence, and Rob Lowe for the catch photographs (and probably his scales work as well).

WEST PARK BONFIRE

Residents across Erewash are being urged by the council to snap up early bird tickets for the borough’s Out of This World fireworks spectacular. The bonfire extravaganza is on Saturday 4th November when gates open at 5pm at West Park in Long Eaton.
An adult ticket is £12 on the night but just £10 if bought in advance. Sixteen-year-olds and under can get £9 tickets for only £7. Entry is free for children aged five and under. An advance family ticket is £25 – which is a saving of a fiver on the £30 that will be charged on the night. This covers two adults and up to three children. Buy tickets at yourticketshere.com/ootw (takes you to an external website not run by Erewash Borough Council).
All discounted tickets for the Out of This World event are available until noon on the day, after which tickets are full price. Councillor Becca Everett, who is Erewash’s Lead Member for Community Engagement, said: “The bonfire and fireworks are a hugely popular event in the borough and the council has battled to keep prices down in the face of the rampant inflation that is hitting local people. This year’s spectacular again promises to be a fantastic experience for all ages. Buying tickets early means residents get great deals.”
