Derbyshire Police have reported that specialist structural engineers had been called in to observe the carnage after a car crashed into Sandiacre Library in Doncaster Avenue. The collision left a gaping hole in the wall at around 7.20am on the morning of Sunday, October 30th. Police and emergency vehicles were quickly on the scene and found the library wall had been completely destroyed. A 34-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of driving offences.
