MAN SLASHED IN STAPLEFORD BAR

A Long Eaton man was slashed with a Stanley knife which left him with a lacerated thumb and a gash to the side of his head. Ryan Middleton was injured in a confrontation at Larry's Bar, in Staleford. The incident occurred on Friday, April 12th. Anyone with information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 848 of 12th April 2024, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

SPEEDING DRIVER JAILED

A speeding driver who’s Ford Fiesta had faulty brakes collided with a 78-year-old woman as she went to cross Fields Farm Road in Long Eaton.. She suffered broken legs, a broken wrist and thumb, broken jaw and was left with a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain. The collision occurred on 4th March 2021.. Neil Dean denied the offence but was found guilty when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday 5th April 2024 when he was jailed for two years and four months.
